Climate of the taiga

The climate is harsh, especially in the long freezing winters. The mild summers only last for three months, but in that time the land becomes a breeding ground for insects, birds, and other mammals. There is heavy snowfall. The climate changes with the location, but common trends are long cold winters, short warm summers, and high humidity.
